Our client a well-known mid-sized manufacturer of medical products going into the Nursing Home and Hospital markets seeks a Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing to report to the President.

Overview

Company is seeking a visionary Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing to join their executive team. This is a rare opportunity to influence the direction of safety and security solutions for the healthcare industry. An opportunity to provide professional Sales and Marketing leadership for the various sales business units covering hospitals, senior care, education and hospitality markets.

 SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for providing strategic leadership to execute company business development initiatives and maximize company’s opportunity potential in each of the Business Units. This will include oversight and leadership management of all sales and business development activities and operations, including market analysis, pricing, distribution and channel strategy, customer acquisition, revenue goals, sales organization structure analysis and sales training.

The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing will need to evaluate company’s effectiveness for establishing relationships with C level executives in the respective vertical markets and evaluate company’s current Corporate Account activities.  The Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing will be required to be the front person for company, which will include making presentations at trade shows, handling speaking engagements, join committees of significant trade groups, especially the Hospital and Senior Care verticals and whatever else is required from  someone  being  the  face  of company.   The Senior Vice President will monitor the development and fostering of relationships with key C-level decision-makers at healthcare, senior living, technology and medical device companies.  This includes ensuring company advances development pipelines into long-term and meaningful alliances and sustainable customers for the company. This position will also include setting metrics and accountability standards for the Business Development and Marketing departments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical arena or high technical aptitude, or an MBA in another discipline is required.
  • Leadership experience at a senior level or above with 15+ years overall relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of sales and management experience in solutions sales or engineered product sales is required, preferably in capital equipment and software solutions.
  • Proven record of hiring, coaching, training and mentoring a sales team.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a field and tele sales force in a technical product arena.
  • Proven success in building and leading sales teams to meet and exceed quotas and account objectives.
  • Experience managing a business unit or similar with full P&L responsibility is required, preferably in a corporate environment.
