Project Manager – Pharmacy Solutions

Responsibilities include,

Manage pharmacy analytics process for prospective and existing clients including evaluation of pharmacy pricing proposals, comprehensive RFPs, model development and ad-hoc reporting

Support Director of Pharmacy Solutions to maintain and grow scope of pharmacy consulting practice

Coordinate the efforts of pharmacy analytics team members to fulfill project responsibilities

Maintain strong relationships and communicate with vendor partners and other series pharmacy practice associates

Correspond with account teams and clients via phone and email about ongoing operational projects

Partner with Director of Pharmacy Solutions and account teams on PBM contract renewal activities, repricing, savings projections, marketing (RFP) projects and pricing reconciliation audits

Support account team on PBM implementations to ensure the best possible outcomes

Review drafts of PBM contracts, employee pharmacy communication pieces, and other documents as needed

Prepare written correspondence, reports, and analyses as needed

Develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of pharmacy marketplace, pricing, specialty pharmacy trends and other pharmacy management tactics

Assist with and /or lead special projects for clients as needed

Special products may include creative ad-hoc analytics, benchmarking exhibits, research and educational materials

Utilize and collaborate to enhance pharmacy analytic tools to identify trends and cost savings opportunities on behalf of firms clients


  • Associates / Bachelor’s degree in a Finance analytics-related field and/or equivalent experience in the pharmacy/PBM industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with pharmacy benefits including PBM contracting and/or pricing experience
  • Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with fellow associates and clients
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines required. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed
  • Ability to interpret financial information and data to facilitate client decision making.
  • Must have the ability to prepare and potentially present client / internal presentations as needed
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have strong internal and external customer service skills, along with the ability to develop strong and rewarding relationships
  • Be able to exercise creative problem solving in partnership with clients, PBMs and account teams
  • Must be located in the Northeast, preferably in the Boston, MA or Hartford, CT area
  • Potential for occasional travel
  • Legally able to work in the United States
